Amil glared balefully at the juice box sitting on the small tray table, as he casually munched on the chocolate-chip cookie in his hand.  He could feel the medic’s piercing blue eyes drilling a hole through him, and he refused to look up to see the frown he was sure was present the medic’s worn face.  The steady beat of the heart monitor sounded oddly like a countdown, and with each passing beat, Amil could feel the tension in the room growing heavier.

Creativity

I don't know why, but I'm not really going to question it...Lately the creative juices have been flowing--hence the submission of chapter 15 of Legion, a few pages in my sketch book of my characters for my fantasy story, and the brainstorming of other projects I have been doing.

I think my impending departure from traditional student summers as I get more into the credential program has resulted in an outburst of creativity that has left me with a lot of energy that I've been channeling towards my more artistic pursuits. In either case, here's hoping that it doesn't leave me too soon.

Otherwise, I've just been cooling it, enjoying the time off, watching some movies, going out to lunches, picking up some tutoring work, and making last minute doctors' appointments since I'll be kicked off my parents' health insurance come July--another farewell to childhood there. *sigh* Growing up sort of sucks...at least in regards to money and bills and responsibility. But that's why you get to buy lotto tickets after turning eighteen, right?

that's ok, i woke up at 12:30 am today (went to bed at 11:30) and completely thought it was 5:30...seriously. I saw the clock read 12:30 but my braid registered it differently.
